CORRIE JOHNSTONE
Endurance Coach & Athlete
I grew up in Canada, where I spent my early years as a competitive soccer player before earning an Honours Degree in Criminal Justice in 2010. After university, I moved to Australia and transitioned into triathlon, cycling, and more recently, ultrarunning.
Since becoming a qualified coach in 2013, I’ve worked with over 150 athletes across a wide range of sports and levels. I’ve competed in triathlon up to the half-ironman distance, raced A-grade cycling, and completed two ultramarathons (Kosci50 and OCC 50K). Coaching is my full-time profession, which means your performance and program are always my priority.
I am deeply passionate about coaching and ongoing education in sport science, exercise physiology, and strength training. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Each athlete is unique, with their own training history, fitness level, and lifestyle. My role is to create a training environment that allows for consistent improvement while fitting within the realities of day-to-day life. I focus on evidence-based training methods and aim to equip athletes with knowledge in mental resilience, pacing, nutrition, race strategies, and gear selection to help them reach their best performance.

My collaboration with Valetudo Fitness and Physio facilitates a high-performance environment where all athletes have access to a team of expert allied health professionals including a sports dietitian, massage therapist, physiotherapists and exercise physiologists. Based out of Floreat Surf Lifesaving Club, our gym provides a home-base for most of our weekly training sessions, with monthly gym memberships available to purchase for athletes.
